Like Christmas in March!
The postman made me a happy fellow today! (Ew, not like that, you pervert.) I got my humongous order of space marine goodies today, and I am already happily at work assembling some of the vehicles. I have to take a break every once in a while, or the glue fumes go to my head. It is during such a break that I am currently posting!
Brimfrost, the biggest annual tournament, is nearly here. I debated going for a while, but I finally decided to suck it up and go. It's going to start at 7:30 in the morning, meaning I have to leave my home at 5:30, but it might be worth it, so I am frantically trying to hammer out a list and paint up the models that require it. I have until the 19th to have everything finished (as I see it).
So far, it looks like I have the following to finish painting before the 20th:
2 Land Raiders
1 Rhino
10 Assault Terminators
That isn't so bad when you put it down on paper! I can get that done. Await updates, and you will be rewarded!
Well, time for me to get back to building the 1st Land Raider.
Until Next Time,

I didn't know this was a fellow Alaskans blog. I usually make it back for Brimfrost but this year the timing didn't work out, and I'm out of town for work (my CSM got 4th last year). Be sure to post about how it goes. What army did you play last year?
ReplyDeleteSadly, I was unable to attend Brimfrost last year... I was pretty new to 40k. I had started not long before last year's BF, as I had only returned from the service a few months before that. I had been to some local tournaments in the Valley at around that time, but that was about all I had time for. This will be my first (and likely last, by the sound of it) Brimfrost event I will attend. I'm bringing my Blood Angels (going to be played as vanilla until the new dex comes out next month) to pay homage to my first army. The guard will wait until another time...
ReplyDeletegood luck paintin all that =)
ReplyDeleteOnce i figured out my Brimfrost list i had the following to get done.
10 man Penal legion squad to convert/paint
4 Grenade launcher troopers to convert/paint
1 Astropath model to finish painting
3 Sentinels to convert/paint
of that i now have only the 3 sentinels left to finish painting which wont take long as my vehicles are black primarily....
The postie was good to me too this week. I don't tend to take breaks from the glue fumes though which may explain why people occaisionally have to remind me who I am.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting them ready for the tourney!
