Tyranid Kraken Escort Size Comparison

I've been hard at work on the hive fleet, and I have set down an STC for building Kraken escort ships out of bits. Here they are in their initial stage of production:


Now I got some questions about the size of it... some people were thinking it might be better used as a cruiser. It is about half as long as a Chaos cruiser, so I didn't think so. Pictures are better at describing it though, so you can be the judge! Here is an STC Kraken next to a Chaos Styx Cruiser

    Wow, I love that tyranid cruiser! Could I use the design?

    That's probably better served as a cruiser, compare the size to the Chaos/Imperial escorts- they are significantly smaller. It might be on par size-wise with the Dauntless, which is a 'light cruiser'. I don't remember if Tyranids have something like that.

    Asmo: No they are not the size of a dauntless. They are the size of a sword or firestorm, both of which are escorts.
