Notice anything different?

Yup, this site will no longer be known as FoxPhoenix's 40k. From this point on, it will be reborn as FoxPhoenix's Gaming! That's right, I have finally realized that limiting myself to one game system is entirely too constricting, and restrains the creative process. That... and my gamer's Attention Deficit Disorder doesn't let me stay interested in one thing for very long.

So now, I get to let you guys in on the stuff I have been doing outside of 40k-related projects! I hope to improve my posting frequency by expanding the topics that this blog will cover.

I'm so excited!

Games I plan to start covering in the future:
Vor: The Maelstrom (retro!)
Battletech (more FASA era!)
Doom: The Boardgame by FFG (awesome nostalgia!)
Haloclix (A guilty pleasure of mine)
Various RPGs (Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, Deathwatch, Mechwarrior 3rd Edition, Shadowrun 4th edition, etc.)

...and anything else I happen to be doing!

So check this out: doomguys!

  2. Vor? Wow! haven't played that in a while, 1-1/2 to 2 years maybe. Any word on if Skuzzy (the games' creator) finally got his rewrite/rules update going?

  3. My blog started as a Flames of War unit blog ... and spiraled into the broad gaming that you can read today. Good luck and keep up the great work

  4. I kept all my forcebooks, rulebooks, and models from vor... I have quite a lot. I have just about every released army except for zykee, which I thought were ridiculous. Skuzz kinda dropped his followers like a bad habit after promising a 2.0 for a couple years, but you can see the forums still at www.bioplazm.com .

I used to have a fan-site for vor, but I kind of let it fall by the wayside when I got into 40k. I think getting into 40k did me a lot of good though, as now I can view a game with a little more subjectivity. It helps me see the whole picture a bit better.

Anybody who is interested can check out the old fansite at https://sites.google.com/site/phoenixnestvorfansite/
